If your shoes feel uncomfortable, they could be loose, tight, too high or simply not right for your feet. Improper fit can cause calluses, corn, bunions and can lead to more permanent feet damage.
Solution:Modify shoes internally or externally to fit properly
If your shoes are loose, use heel grips, tongue pads and/or insoles for a better fit
If your shoes are tight, they can be stretched up to 1/2 size in width and 1/4 size in length
If you have knee length boots
that are tight around the calves, elastic can be sewn into the leather
to create more room. Simply stretching the boot calf or adding extra
leather may not work. Careful measurement and expertise is needed
If your heels are too high, they can be lowered up to 2 inches
For problem feet,
a number of external or internal modifications can be done (e.g. short
limp build ups, lateral and medial wedges or heel flaring)
