Today, finding a working shoemaker in the city is considered rare.  At Shoe Therapy, our Master Repairer is one of the few shoemakers left!  Phat is a second generation shoemaker who came to Canada in 1979. He was born into the trade and was trained at the age of 15 to work in the shoe business.

Phat perfected his skills in Toronto by making shoes for large shoe manufacturers (e.g. Celebrity Shoes and Central Footwear) and for private clients.  He has also repaired high end shoes for large and independently owned shoe repair stores (e.g. Mr. Presto and Royal York Hotel) in the 1980s.
